Quick Catch up and update

I have been very remiss in updating my blog lately - ahve been rather too busy and distracted, so where to start??
Wednesday afternoons we have cocktail hour. At Hemingway’s, between 4 and 6 pm, cocktails are half price. Needless to say, I, Cousin Coleen (always a stalwart for misbehaving) and various other lady friends hightail it to Hemingway’s every Wednesday to have said cocktails. We have been drinking Cosmopolitans’ –a very modern drink made famous in SATC. Yummy – and healthy too since the main ingredient is cranberry juice which counter effects the alcohol in the drink (that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.)
This long weekend, Col and I attended a women’s retreat which was wonderful –except for the tantric sex bits – which caused up to collapse in uncontrollable mirth, but at least we learned something new. We had a wonderful time meditating, doing yoga, painting, pottery etc…. The best part was meeting 9 other fantastic, gorgeous women. We are such a superior species!!
Now – to teach HTB some tantric tricks!!!

Major ructions – have made a career change. After much agonizing, I have taken up a permanent post back in mainstream Radiography. I am very sad to be leaving my friends, colleagues and students here at DUT, but the other job offers more security and is permanent. Further to this - I feel like I have been time warped back to the 80 s with the students rioting. We have had to dodge rubber bullets, missiles, tear gas and the water cannon.
To complete the 80's blast from the past, my friend Jean invited me to attend a music show called the ceazy eighties. We had a great time - but it was hard to admit that 1980 was 30 years ago (EISH) Where did the time go?

Sadly – our darling kitty, Bella went missing last night and until this morning had not returned home.
We are hoping that she will be home soon.
